From Scattered Moments To Constellations
Map your context and co-create collections in this workshop

“A library is not only a place of both order and chaos; it is also the realm of chance.”

The scenes we meet in our neighbors might seem scattered.

Yet, as Manguel suggests, such chaos can become a creative act of connection when people weave them together—
like constellations in the sky. At Neutinamu Library, materials are developed into theme collections
while neighbors weave their moments into relationships by these projects;
turning an abandoned patch into community gardens,performing plays with seniors, organizing small festivals, etc.
We librarians connect, encourage, and ignite those initiatives by carrying theme collections to those spots like cafés, florists, farms, and pubs.
We call it “Collection Busking”. We invite you to this collective weaving.
Shall we imagine how libraries evolve from temples of books into community platforms. We can’t wait to see the constellations you will draw.

도서관의 별자리: 흩어진 순간들에서 별자리로
넥스트라이브러리 서울 에디션 | 느티나무도서관 세션

커뮤니티 플랫폼이 되는 도서관은 어떤 모습일까요?
각자의 경험을 연결해 컬렉션을 엮는 ‘별자리 만들기’의 여정에 초대합니다.

“도서관은 질서와 혼돈이 공존하는 장소일 뿐 아니라, ‘우연’이 다스리는 영역이기도 하다.”

이웃의 삶 속에서 마주치는 풍경들은 때로 흩어진 별들처럼 무질서해 보일지 모릅니다.
하지만 망겔이 말했듯, 사람들이 이 장면들을 하나로 엮어낼 때 이 혼돈은 하나의 창조적 연결 행위가 됩니다.
마치 밤하늘의 별들이 별자리를 이루는 것처럼요.
느티나무도서관에서는 다양한 자료가 컬렉션으로 진화하고, 이웃들은 모든 순간을 관계로 엮어냅니다.
버려진 땅을 마을 정원으로 일구고, 시니어들과 함께 희곡을 읽으며 공연하고,
작은 축제를 함께 만드는 프로젝트들을 통해서요.
사서들은 카페·꽃집·농장·펍 같은 일상의 장소로 주제 컬렉션을 들고 가 이웃들의 시도들을 연결하고 북돋우며 활기를 불어넣습니다.
우리는 이 실천을 “컬렉션 버스킹(Collection Busking)”이라고 부릅니다.
이 공동의 엮기 과정에 여러분을 초대합니다.
도서관이 ‘책의 사원’을 넘어 커뮤니티 플랫폼으로 진화한다면, 그 모습은 어떤 형태일까요?
